Derek Hough Proposes to Shania Twain During Epic “Lip Sync Battle” Performance

It was a battle to end all battles. “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer, Derek Hough, took on Pussycat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger during a tribute to Shania Twain on the latest episode of “Lip Sync Battle.”

Nicole and Derek were tasked with lip-syncing the country divas songs and putting on a show. The only catch, Shania Twain herself would be there judging how well they each performed.

Nicole kicked it off with a countryfied version of Shania’s “Man I Feel Like a Woman.” While Shania was decked out in corset like dress and thigh-high boots in the original video, Nicole opted for cowboy hat, overalls and flannel shirt. After digging up dirt and two stepping, she did add a little sexiness to it by unbuttoning her shirt to reveal a sequined bra.

Then it was Derek’s turn to impress Shania. Dressed in a tuxedo, Derek kicked off his set by saying, “I’m so glad there are so many of you are here tonight to witness my 16-year-old fantasy come true. I love you,” he said to Shania. “This is a big moment.”

Derek then walked over to the Grammy Award winning artist and took her hand, having her participate in his performance of her hit, “From This Moment On.” As the two danced, Derek proceeded to get down on one knee and propose to Shania, with a very large rock we might add, all while continuing to lip sync.

Next came the wedding, more dancing and in the end, two blonde-headed little boys, making them one big happy family.

Derek should get extra points for including judge Shania in his performance. Kudos for a job well done.
