As the days pass following the sudden death of Disney Channel star Cameron Boyce on Saturday (July 6), many questions remain. Yet, a new press release from local authorities is providing more details regarding the tragedy.
On Monday (July 8,) the Los Angeles Count Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner revealed in a press release that an autopsy has now been conducted but results will be held as a further investigation takes place.
“Actor Cameron Boyce died Saturday in his North Hollywood home,”the press release also stated. “In the early afternoon of July 6, Cameron Mica Boyce was found unresponsive in his home located in the 5100 block of Cartwright Avenue in North Hollywood. Authorities were called and Boyce was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:35 p.m.”
And while fans continue to wait for more information, Boyce’s dad Victor headed to his own social media channels to express his overwhelming sadness following his son’s death.
“I’m overwhelmed with the love and support our family has received,” Victor Boyce wrote on his Twitter page. “It really does help to ease the pain of this nightmare I can’t wake up from. I can’t thank you guys enough.”

Cameron was perhaps best known for his work on the Disney Channel movie franchise known as the Descendants. The third installment of the franchise, Descendants 3, is set to premiere on August 2.
