If you can’t wait for Disney’s live-action feature Aladdin, you’re in luck. The movie studio has released the first full-length trailer starring Will Smith as the genie.
While Disney released a trailer in February, revealing Will Smith as the Genie, the new trailer is longer and reveals more of the story of Aladdin.
In the live-action remake, we see Aladdin beginning his adventure as he wanders into a cave, finding the lamp that releases Will Smith’s genie. We get a look at Aladdin’s relationship with Princess Jasmine, which the genie helps foster. And then there’s the “Whole New World” scene as Jasmine and Aladdin fly high on the magic carpet.
The new movie stars Will as the Genie along with Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Marwen Kenzari as Jafar and Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine.
Fans will recall that the late Robin Williams voiced the original Genie, leaving Will Smith with some big blue shoes to fill. Aladdin was first released November 25, 1992, and took home the Oscar for best original song.
Aladdin is set to hit teathers on May 24.
