Days before, it was reported that Beth was placed in a medically-induced coma in a hospital in Hawaii after suffering breathing problems.
Beth was first diagnosed with stage II throat cancer back in September 2017. In a message to her fans at the time, she expressed her shock over the turn of the events.
“As most of you know I’ve spent a lifetime facing tests and challenges I didn’t see coming and certainly never expected,” she wrote. “I’ve been dealt my share of unexpected blows over the course of my almost fifty years but nothing as serious as the one I heard from my doctors two weeks ago when they uttered those dreaded three words, ‘You have cancer.’”
After receiving surgery, Beth believed she was cancer free. She later revealed in Nov. 2018 that the cancer had returned. She remained in good spirits throughout her fight. She was then rushed to the hospital in April after suffering breathing issues and was released.
Beth had filmed some episodes of her husband’s new reality show, Dog’s Most Wanted, airing on WGN soon, while she battled cancer.
Our hearts go out to the Chapman family as this difficult time.
