During an appearance on The Dr. Oz Show, Duane surprised viewers and Moon Angell alike with the impromptu proposal, but now he admits that he hoped she would refuse.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Duane explained, “I am very lonesome. She knew Beth and she talked about Beth constantly, ‘Remember what Beth used to tell us,’ and of course, I would light right up when she’d say that. I was infatuated with a dream.” He went on to say, “When I said it, I think I was about ready to cry, but I knew that she would say no, and once she said no, that did it. And 98 percent of the rumors went away, the lies went away.”

The rumors he refers to were regarding a relationship between the couple.

While Duane insists that Moon Angell continues to work for him and the Dog brand, TMZ reports that she has moved out of the home he shared with his wife.

Apparently, she moved into the house following Beth’s passing from throat cancer eight months ago and it was his decision for Moon to leave. TMZ states, “Dog and Moon sat down this week for a deep convo, and he thanked her for everything she’s done for him since his wife Beth Chapman’s passing. Dog told Moon he’s ready to move on, and she saw the writing on the wall — time for her to move out.”
