You may remember Ed Sheeran’s lookalike puppet from his 2014 “Sing” video, where he was having a grand ol’ time. Well, the faux friend is back for a repeat performance in Sheeran’s new video for his latest ballad “Happier.”

This time the little guy is not having any fun, but dealing with heartbreak instead. “Happier,” featured on Sheeran’s latest album ÷ (divide), has the red-headed muppet remembering an ex lover, who has moved on to a “Happier” relationship. Oh and by the way, his ex lover is made out of balloons.

Instead of living the high life, he’s wandering the streets of New York after running into his ex with another guy. He ends up drinking away his sorrow, fighting with the new man, which is played by another muppet, and singing on the streets with a sign that says Heartbroken & Unhappier.

Ain’t nobody hurt you like I hurt you / But ain’t nobody love you like I do / Promise that I will not take it personal, baby / If you’re moving on with someone new,” he sings in the chorus.

The new video is quite sad if you take the time to invest yourself in the puppet, but so is the song—something Sheeran is exceptionally good at. Looks like the British singer has another hit on his hands.
