Emily Blunt Joins Backstreet Boys for Impromptu Performance of “I Want It That Way” [WATCH]

As actress Emily Blunt prepares for audiences to fall in love with her as the star of the movie Mary Poppins Returns, she still admits that she has a bit of a fear of singing in public. That is unless Backstreet Boys walk into the room.

“I think it’s still not a natural thing for me,” shared Blunt on Monday (Nov. 19) episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show about her singing apprehensions. “I find it very nerve-wracking to sing in front of people. I just feel a bit exposed.”

Of course, DeGeneres didn’t give up on trying to get the shy actress to sing. But at that very moment, the men of the Backstreet Boys walked onto the stage and encouraged her to sing their hit “I Want It That Way” with them.

And yes, she started singing. And yes, they all sounded amazing!

As the performance concluded, you could see in her reaction just how excited she was to have had the chance to sing with the still successful music group, who stuck around the show to both perform heir current hit “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” and playing some games with DeGeneres.

Of course, we will all soon find out if Blunt’s singing talents are showcased in Mary Poppins Returns, which arrives in theaters Dec. 19.
