Fuller House star John Stamos has stayed relatively quiet the last few months, especially when it comes to his former co-star Lori Loughlin’s participation in a scandal that has rocked the college admissions process.
But on Sunday (June 23,) he decided it was time to break his silence.
“I haven’t been on the show yet and it hasn’t come up, so I’m going to talk to some people about it this week and see what’s going on,” Stamos told Entertainment Tonight about how he is still figuring out how Loughlin could factor into the final season of Fuller House. “I’m just going to wait a little longer before I talk about it. It’s a difficult situation for everyone involved. I don’t mean just on our side.”
Fans will recall that Loughlin and her fashion designer husband Mossimo Giannulli pleaded not guilty back in April to paying hundred of thousands of dollars in bribes to get their daughters admitted to the University of Southern California.
But no matter how Loughlin’s personal situation turns out, it sounds like the future is bright for the Full House franchise as a whole.
“There’s a lot of energy,” Stamos says of the possibility of another Full House spin-off that would be a prequel to the original storyline. “I haven’t spoken about this at all. I’m not going to really, but there’s a lot of energy still with that show. There’s too much. There’s too much happiness that that show has brought for a lot of people. So it’s not going to go down easy.”
