When Adam Levine stepped down from his role as coach on the hit NBC competition series, The Voice, fans couldn’t believe it. But have no fear, Gwen Stefani was ready to go to cover the empty chair in season 17.
Now, Gwen is back on the set and she couldn’t be happier. In a trailer for the upcoming season, Gwen really makes herself at home.

“I am so happy to be back. My life changed so much on this show,” she said. “I’m so inspired. I haven’t been her for a while so I’m ready to go.”
This is Gwen’s fourth season on the show who previously appeared as coach on season’s seven, nine and twelve.
“Then to be with my best friend Blakey and to be here with Kelly and John, I feel pretty lucky right now,” she added.
“I always love having Gwen on the show. I mean this is the fourth season” Blake said. However, the clip shows that the competition could drive a wedge between the very competitive couple.
“She put our relationship on the line for you,” Blake told a contestant.
“You’re personally responsible for breaking up America’s favorite couple,” John Legend adds.
Not so fast. We don’t see that happening anytime soon because Blake wore his heart on his sleeve when talking about his girlfriend.
“She literally makes my day one hundred percent better,” Blake shared. “I love her.” Awww.
But make no mistake, since Gwen has yet to win a season of The Voice, the “Hollaback Girl” singer came to win.
“I’m back and this is my season to win,” she said.
Good luck. The Voice will return on September 23 8 p.m. ET on NBC
