It’s official – Hannah Brown has won season 28 of Dancing with the Stars.
And hours after being handed the Mirrorball for the first time, Brown and her professional dance partner Alan Bersten still sounded shocked.
“It feels incredible,” Bersten said during an interview on Good Morning America on Tuesday (Nov. 26.) “It is a dream come true, and I was honestly shocked and speechless. Hannah did such a good job, and I’m so proud of her.”
“It was awesome,” added Brown, who appeared last season on The Bachelorette. “I’m really thankful. I literally was in the audience a year — almost two years ago and just somebody that was in New York and wanted to come watch the show and now I’m on — this is crazy.”
And while there can only be one winner a season, Brown’s fellow DWTS competitors all say that the competition has had a profound affect on their life.
“It’s the best to kind of have a redemption story in a way,” shared Ally Brooke, who ended up coming in third place alongside professional partner Sasha Farber. “Sasha and I have been through so much. This guy’s changed my life. He’s changed me as a person, as a dancer, and I cannot say enough words on how thankful I am for him and this entire experience and everyone here. Honestly, we’ve had the greatest time.”
