It’s been just about a month since actress Hilary Duff and singer-songwriter Matthew Koma got engaged, but the shininess of the moment certainly has not worn off as of yet.
In fact, Duff is still beaming.
“It was so sweet,” Duff said Wednesday (June 12) during an interview on The Talk. “And he got down on one knee and he’s like, ‘I forgot everything I’m supposed to say, but you’re my best friend.’ It was so sweet.”
According to Duff, the engagement occurred during what was a normal Tuesday in the household of two busy professionals.
“I came home from work on a random Tuesday and he’s like, let’s go for walk, let’s go check out this park,” Duff recalled during the interview. “And we were living in Williamsburg, and I was like, ‘I’m so tired.’ We just started Game of Thrones and I’m like, ‘I want to eat dinner in bed and watch Game of Thrones. And he’s like, ‘No, no. Let’s go on a walk.’ And I’m like, ‘Ugh. If I put my sweatpants on I’ll go.’ And he’s like, ‘OK.'”
That decision will probably go down as one of Duff’s best, as the two then proceeded to go to a park where Koma gave his love a book filled with illustrations of their life together…and of course, blank pages for their life to come.
How sweet is that?
