James Bond is alive and well and Daniel Craig returns as the MI6 agent in his fifth installment  of the series, No Time To Die. Wednesday (Dec. 4) Universal Pictures released the first trailer for the film and it leaves us on the edge of our seats.

The action packed clip shares car chases, betrayal, explosions and gun-fighting, everything needed for a successful Bond action film. New characters are added, including Lashana Lynch as Nomi, a new 00 agent, rumored to perhaps take over the James Bond role in future films.

“The worlds moved on commander Bond. So stay in your lane. You get in my way I will put a bullet in your knee,” Nomi tells Bond. “The one that works.” Looks like James has more than one obstacle to go up against.

The premise of the movie is “Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica,” the description on Youtube reads. “His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.”

Another newbie to the film series in actor Rami Malek, know for his Oscar winning turn as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. Rami plays Safin an evil, sinister nemesis brought in to stop 007, one who producer Barbara Broccoli describes as “the one that really gets under Bond’s skin. He’s a nasty piece of work”

Directed by Cary Fukunaga, the film also stars Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Jeffrey Wright and Christoph Waltz reprising their roles, as well as newcomers Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, and Billy Magnussen.

No Time to Die hits theaters in April 2020.
