Back in February, Friends actress Jennifer Aniston was celebrating her 50th birthday with friends such as Courteney Cox when the unthinkable happened.
Their plane’s landing gear stopped working.

“Everybody on the plane started panicking,” Aniston recalled during an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday (June 5). “Everyone who I look to for comfort has got tears streaming down their faces. They’re texting their children, their partners, their loved ones. And I was like, ‘Who do I text? And then ‘Bing!’ You were the first person that was like, ‘Are you okay?’ And I was like, ‘Ellen! I do have someone who loves me!’ “
“I heard from someone Jen’s plane is in trouble, they had an emergency landing,” host Ellen DeGeneres replied. “So I texted you right away.”
Aniston went on to recall that the plane circled for many hours after that text exchange as they tried to dump as much fuel as possible before they would attempt a landing back in California.
And land they did.
The very next day, the close-knit group of friends all boarded another plane and still made it to their Mexican destination for the weekend birthday festivities.
“Everyone was like, ‘How could you get on another plane?’ Aniston recalled. “I was like, ‘Listen, we all had to fly around for 6 hours dumping fuel, we all got pretty hammered ‘cause who knew what the end of this was gonna be. Let’s go out with some tequila.’ “
Amen my sista.
