The Carter Center took to Twitter to share the information.

“Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter had a fall yesterday evening at his home in Plains, Ga. He has been admitted to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center for observation and treatment of a minor pelvic fracture. He is in good spirits and is looking forward to recovering at home.”

This is the second fall for the former President in the past month. Earlier in October, news broke that President Carter fell in his home as he and his wife Rosalyn Carter were getting ready for church. Upon the fall, he hit his head on a sharp edge, which required stitches in his forehead.

However, much to everyone’s amazement, Jimmy was on a plane to Nashville that night to be in attendance at the Habitat For Humanity Work Project event.

Back in May, the President also took a fall as he was heading out to a turkey hunt. In that incident he broke his hip. He was hospitalized at the time and underwent a successful surgery to repair the hip.

We’re sending well wishes to President Carter for a speedy recovery.
