On the very same day that he closed the door on his longtime role as Leonard Hofstadter on the much loved sitcom The Big Bang Theory, the actor opened the door on a brand new part of his life.
He is going to have a baby. Actually, his love Alaina Meyer is going to have his baby.
“It’s pure excitement right now,” Galecki said in an interview on Live with Kelly and Ryan on Thursday (May 16,) the very same day in which The Big Bang Theory aired its tear-jerking finale after 12 successful seasons. “Everything is immediately different. You look at everything through a different prism. I can only imagine what it’s like upon introduction.”

“We are absolutely over the moon to announce that we will soon be welcoming a little one into this crazy and wonderful world,” the couple said. “We ask that you please respect our privacy during this celebratory time for us and our families. There truly is love out there for all. We hope ours is the ember of yours, as we feel yours is the ember of ours.”
