“Property Brothers” Star Jonathan Scott Turns Down Third Offer To Find Love on “The Bachelor”

-

HGTV stars Drew and Jonathan Scott are most well known for their bond of brotherhood and their ability to flip properties into gorgeous, money-making homes. But as it turns out, Jonathan had the opportunity to take on a completely new venture without Drew by his side: To find love on national television.

Back in May, Drew got married to the love of his life, Linda Phan. Shortly before their nuptials, Jonathan and his longtime girlfriend broke up, making him a seemingly eligible bachelor.

Literally.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Jonathan revealed that he has actually been approached several times by ABC’s “The Bachelor” to help him find love— but he turned down the offer not once, not twice, but three times.

“I said my third no to being the Bachelor about a month ago,” Jonathan said. “I cannot. That is absolutely not me.”

Drew agreed that the show wouldn’t be right for his brother— but he has faith he’ll find love.

“He don’t need that,” Drew said. “Anyway, I think right now he’s just focusing on what we’re doing, the shows, we’re launching our first kids’ book next month, which is exciting. Eventually, he’ll have time and then I’ll pawn him off for a dating show or something.”

Jonathan’s not opposed to branching out his television appearances, though. “I would love something like ‘Amazing Race,'” he said. “(It) would be fun … but not ‘The Bachelor.'”
