At 76 years of age, Judge Judy Sheindlin has every right to spend her time relaxing, reading and maybe watching a little of The Ellen DeGeneres Show on TV.

But Judge Judy isn’t like other 76-year-olds.

Sheindlin, who is currently in her 23rd season on her much-loved television show “Judge Judy,” headed to ‘Ellen’ to talk about the possibility of retirement in her future. And while she is still signed on until the end of her 25th season, she says retirement is something she thinks about.

But, she doesn’t sound very interested in the idea.

“What would you do every day?” the judge asks. “This job, believe it or not, it’s an anchor because it gives you someplace to go. I work every other week. So that’s my anchor, and it gives me plenty of downtime to get bored, and when I get bored I usually harass people.”

As far as she is concerned, she’d much rather keep moving.

“The people I know who are older and spirited look like they’re having a good time,” she continues. “The people who are older and don’t do anything to keep themselves younger don’t look like they’re getting the best bang for their buck out of life.”
