It’s the time of year for hellos and goodbyes. And for talk show host Kelly Ripa, this latest goodbye to her daughter might just be the toughest one yet.

In a sweet Instagram post shared on Thursday (August 22,) the Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host shared a throwback pic of her, husband Mark Consuelos and their then newborn daughter Lola on her Christening day.

“#tbt 2001 from your Christening to college,” wrote Ripa. “In the blink of an eye. I’m not crying. You’re crying 😢(actually Daddy’s sobbing) 😭”

In the coming days, Lola Consuelos will join the countless other kids heading off to college. The middle child in the Consuelos family, Lola is said to be attending New York University later this fall.

And while watching children get older is never easy, it does open up a whole new world for parents who have long lived to fulfill the needs of their kids. In fact, Ripa even makes it sound like big changes just might be on the horizon.

“I can say, 100 percent, my schedule is easier now,” Ripa said in an interview earlier this year about having kids.  “There was a 15-year period where I went to work and then I’d head right to my kids’ school or a sporting event or made sure I was at the concert. Now that I’ve got one kid that’s almost done with college, one that’s going into college, and one that is halfway through his sophomore year of high school, I have a lot more time to free me up to do other projects. Maybe start acting again, who knows.”

Good luck Lola!
