Little Women LA star, Christy McGinity, has revealed that her daughter, Violet Eva, passed away on March 20 at only 2 weeks old.
McGinity’s boyfriend, Gonzalo Justo Carazo, shared a statement with People. “It is with our deepest sorrow that we send our baby girl Violet Eva Carazo to play with the angels,” the statement read. “We were able to spend two weeks with our sweet baby girl and for that we are forever thankful. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated.”
“We are so grateful for the outpouring of love we’ve received,” McGinity and her boyfriend, Gonzalo, told TODAY Parents on Tuesday. “We need all the prayers right now. Missing our girl more and more each day.”
The couple announced the birth of their daughter on Instagram.
“Our sweet Violet 💜 Eva has arrived. Your thoughts and prayers are appreciated,” McGinity announced in a post.
“Happy One Week Old Birthday 🎂🍼 to our Baby Girl Violet 💜,” Carazo wrote alongside photos of the couple with their newborn. “Thank U for making me a Dad and bringing me an entire new perspective during your first week of Life 🎀. We love you so much! 👶🏻 #BabyGirl.”
The cause of death has not been revealed, however, according to People the baby was born seven weeks early, measured 15 inches and weighed 3 lbs., 15 oz.
McGinity, is best known for starring on the Lifetime reality series Little Women: LA since 2014. She has two children from a previous marriage.
