It’s gotta be tough watching yourself on television. But when the whole viewing audience turns on you for your behavior, like the have with The Bachelorette’s Luke P, you’ve got some explaining to do.

As The Bachelorette fans know, Luke P has fallen out of favor with fans for his obsessive behavior toward Hannah B. In the latest episode of the show, Luke P could not handle the fact that Hannah was making connections with other men. Even though that’s the whole premise of the show he signed up for. Either way, Luke’s behavior of getting agitated, jealous and even interrupting Hannah’s other dates, has gotten the best of him. Hannah had to tell Luke to back it down a bit because he was starting to irritate her. (She’s not the only one.)

While fans are blasting him on social media, Luke has taken to Instagram to explain himself.

“I just want to address the elephant in the room here really quick,” he wrote. “First I want you all to know how hard it has been for me to watch myself this season so far. Regardless of what is aired AND IF @alabamahannah and I are together or not my behavior in all situations has been and will continue to be exposed. I have learned a lot and I am continuing to learn about my flaws as a man. I’m the first to admit I am far from perfect. This journey has giving me a great opportunity to grow and mature as a man, for that I am grateful.”

He concluded, “For those of you who are on this journey with me I am grateful for your support and hope you get to learn and grow from my mistakes with me!”
