Luke Perry’s Fiancée Wendy Bauer Speaks Out Following Luke’s Death

Following the death of actor Luke Perry on March 4, many co-stars and friends took to social media to share their feelings of loss. His children Jack, 21, and Sophie 18, also spoke out about losing their father and thanking fans for their support.

Now, Luke Perry’s fiancée Wendy Bauer talked with People about the loss of her future husband.

“I want to express my gratitude to everyone for the outpouring of love and support,” Bauer told People. “The countless, heartwarming stories of Luke’s generosity and kindness have been a great source of solace during this difficult time.”

“The past 11½ years with Luke were the happiest years of my life, and I am grateful to have had that time with him,” she added. “I also want to thank his children, family, and friends for their love and support. We have found comfort in one another and in the knowledge that our lives were touched by an extraordinary man. He will be dearly missed.”

Luke Perry died on March 4 following a massive stroke. According to his rep, the actor was “was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends.”

Luke was previously married to wife Rachel “Minnie” Sharp, the mother of his two children. The couple split in 2003.
