Actors Matthew McConaughey and Hugh Grant are adding the role of matchmakers to their impressive resume.

In recent weeks, the two have been on record, claiming that they would love to set up Mary Kathlene McCabe (McConaughey’s mom) and James Grant (Grant’s father) up on a date.

“Would your 87-year-old mom like a nice 91-year-old Englishman,” Grant asked McConaughey during an interview with Mashable back in December.

And now, it looks like he wasn’t kidding.

There just might be a love connection after all.

“His father’s 91, my mother’s 88,” McConaughey told Entertainment Tonight during a recent interview. “Yeah, why not? Next week, they’re supposed to meet, and we probably won’t see them for the rest of the night.”

And according to Grant, the meeting just might turn out to be ‘red hot.’

McConaughey and Grant are currently out promoting their new movie The Gentleman, which opens in theaters on January 24. And while they are spending most of their time as of late talking about the seedy plot of the movie, it seems like the whole world just wants to know – will Mary and James actually ever get together and hook up?

Well, we guess we will all just have to wait and see.
