Beloved “Friends” star Matthew Perry’s rep recently announced that the actor is currently recovering from surgery to repair a gastrointestinal perforation. The surgery took place at a Los Angeles hospital.
“He is grateful for the concern and asks for continued privacy as he heals,” his rep told People magazine about his 48-year-old client, who is best known for playing the role of Chandler on the much-loved NBC series “Friends.”.
In his first Twitter post since March, Perry told fans that he has actually been hospitalized for the past three months.

Of course, this latest health struggle is just one of many that Perry has had to face in recent years. In fact, Perry been very open about his battles with alcohol and Vicodin through the years.
“I couldn’t stop,” Perry told People Magazine back in 2013. “Eventually things got so bad that I couldn’t hide it, and then everybody knew.”
Earlier this year, Perry sold his Hollywood Hills home for $12.5 million dollars, according to the Los Angeles Times. The 3,821 square foot home included three bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a fireplace and a chef’s kitchen.
Here’s to hoping that Perry is able to return to his new home soon and get his life back on track. Everyone here at One Country sends well wishes to Perry as he continues to recuperate!
