It’s been a busy day for the Royal family as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle introduced their son to the world and then revealed his name, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, on Wednesday, May 8.
The world watched as Prince Harry and Meghan welcomed their son into the world on Monday, May 6. And we kept watching as the royal couple presented little Archie for the world to see. As Harry and Meghan were taking photos with their new son, Meghan shared what it’s like to be a new mom and how Archie has been during his first two days of life.
“It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world, so I’m really happy,” Meghan said. “He has the sweetest temperament.”
“I wonder where he gets that from,” new dad Harry chimed in with a laugh.
“He’s really calm and he’s just been a dream. So it’s been a special couple of days,” Meghan added.
No word on what title little Archie will take over by he is in fact 7th in line to throne, behind his grandfather, Prince Charles, his uncle Prince William, and his three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis and his father, Prince Harry.
Baby Archie also met his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, on Wednesday, along with his great-grandfather, Prince Phillip and grandmother, Doria Ragland. Archie is the Queen’s 8th great-grandchild. He follows in the footsteps of Prince Charles’ three other grandchildren, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis and Princess Anne’s four grandchildren, Mia Grace Tindall, Lena Elizabeth Tindall, Savannah Phillips and Isla Phillips.
“This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle,” the Instagram account for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said in a post.
