Meghan Trainor is one of the most down-to-earth celebrities out there, despite her undeniable success. Not only has she had several hits of her own– she has written hit songs for Lauren Alaina, Rascal Flatts, Michael Buble, and countless others.
If you’re one of the 9.1 million (and growing) people who follow her on Instagram, you get an inside, behind-the-scenes look at her life both on and off the road. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Trainor went through her favorite Instagram photos and explained the story behind them, and we basically feel like we’re best friends with her now.
“This is my fiancee, Daryl. I’m obsessed with him, as you can see,” she shares. “This is us before we went to Ellen DeGeneres’ 60th birthday party– we were feeling really cool and special.” I’d say so!
“This is my little cousin, Jenna,” she said. “I took my entire family to Disneyland for Christmas, and I did it the year before– I think I’m in trouble and I have to do it every year.”
“This I posted on Instagram hours before I got engaged,” she said of this mirror selfie with her now-fiancee Daryl. “A lot of people mistake this ring [in the picture] as my engagement ring but no, no, no– my mom made this ring! This was right before we left. He didn’t tell me where we were going!”
