While Milo Ventimiglia is most well known currently for his role as Jack Pearson on “This Is Us,” you might recall that he first made his big break as Luke’s troubled nephew, Jess Mariano, on the hit show “Gilmore Girls.”
If you’ve seen both “Gilmore Girls” and “This Is Us,” you know that the characters of Jess Mariano and Jack Pearson are pretty much completely opposite from one another. With that in mind, Milo Ventimiglia says he hasn’t always been the most beloved guy on television.
Milo appeared on “The Tonight Show” to talk with Jimmy Fallon about the upcoming third season of “This is Us” when they got on the subject of fan interactions. Milo then shared the story of his first-ever fan interaction and let’s just say it didn’t go so well.
“My very fan first interaction with Gilmore Girls, I was at the gym and this girl stops me and she goes, ‘Excuse me, do you play Jess on Gilmore Girls?’ and I go, ‘Yeah, I actually do.’ She goes, ‘Oh my god, I f******g hate you,” Milo told Jimmy.
He then said the girl proceeded to just walk away— but if we had to guess, she has a LOT of regret about this interaction now that he’s the ever-so-lovable Jack Pearson.
The third season of “This Is Us” will premiere on September 25.
