The Creator of “This is Us” is Releasing a New Movie, “Life Itself,” and We’re Already Crying at the Trailer

If you’re a fan of “This is Us,”— as everyone should be, IMO— you know that it’s sort of a love/hate relationship. You love the show but sometimes, you hate what they do to your favorite characters or hate what you know is up ahead. But, alas, you continue to watch with tears streaming down your face, feeling the same emptiness inside as you would if you knew Jack Pearson in real life.

Now, you can channel that same sad-but-still-happy energy towards a new movie, coming to theaters in September.

According to Country Living, “This is Us” creator Dan Fogelman created “Life Itself” to show the life of a couple, played by Olivia Wilde and Oscar Issac, “from college romance to marriage and the birth of their first child, the unexpected twists of their journey create reverberations that echo over continents and through lifetimes.” AKA, it’s a heart-wrencher.

Don’t want to take my word for it? Watch the trailer below, then mark your calendars for September 21.
