Olivia Newton-John Reveals Cancer Has Returned: “I Believe I Will Win Over It”

Despite the hopes of her fans all around the world, Olivia Newton-John’s cancer has returned, according to a new interview. The Aussie singer and “Grease” star says it’s the third time she has been diagnosed with cancer in the past three decades.

When asked if she was scared, Newton-John said, “No, I don’t go there. I’d be lying if I said I never go there. There are moments, I’m human. If I allowed myself to go there, I could easily create that big fear. But my husband’s always there, and he’s there to support me.”

Through the years, the actress has battled with both breast cancer and then cancer in her shoulder. This time, Newton-John is dealing with the effects of a tumor at the base of her spine.

“I believe I will win over it,” she continued. “That’s my goal.”

Opening up about the diagnosis is something that the singer says that still leaves her uneasy. “The first time I talked about it, and the second time I thought I didn’t really need to share this, it’s not something I need to share with people,” she says. “It’s my life and I decided to keep it to myself.”

Everyone here at One Country sends our well-wishes for a full recovery. If anyone can beat this, she can!
