Only moments after Rami Malek experienced one of the highs of his life as he accepted his Oscar for Best Actor for his role in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, he fell off the star-studded stage.
And no, that was not part of the script.
The fall took place after the conclusion of the televised ceremony. Paramedics were quickly called to the scene to check in on the actor, who played the role of Queen front man Freddie Mercury in the movie which was also up for the top prize of the night. People magazine ran a number of pictures from the incident show paramedics moving the actor to a nearby seat to determine if he was injured.
Luckily, the talented actor continued on to the press room and answered reporter’s questions and looked as if he was okay.

“The one thing I can say about this, as an actor, there are so many of us who dream of one thing. Perhaps it’s not this, it’s just getting a job,” the 37-year-old told reporters. “The fact that I have this is beyond any expectation that myself or my family could have ever had. I’ll just say that. This has been a tough battle and the fact that I’m here is proof that anything is possible. Tonight I’m celebrating with all of you and anyone who has had a dream.”
We’re glad everything was OK.
