The best thing about Nashville is that you never know who you’re going to pump gas next to, who is going to be shopping for avocados with you, or who is going to jump on the stage at the Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. Would you ever expect to see pop star Pink there? If you didn’t, she just proved you wrong.
Pink was in Nashville for a concert at Music City’s Bridgestone Arena, and following her show, like many country stars are apt to do, she visited the legendary watering hole located in the Lower Broadway honky-tonk district.
And she didn’t stop with just walking in for a cold adult beverage. In a video shared with Nashville’s WSMV, the multi-talented entertainer, known as much for her inspirational messages to young women as she is for her music and acting, stepped up on the historic stage with a beer in her hand and whipped out an impressive version of Janis Joplin’s “Me and Bobby McGee.”
Pink’s stop in Nashville is part of her “Beautiful Trauma World Tour” which actually kicked off in March of 2018 and continues through October. The dynamic entertainer is no stranger to Nashville. She regularly includes the city in her tour itinerary and in 2017 was a featured performer at the CMA Awards after recording “Setting the World On Fire” with Kenny Chesney.
Proving, once again, that Music City isn’t limited to just country music.
