Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcome first child baby boy

The wait is over! Baby Sussex has arrived Monday May 6, and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are the parents of a bouncing baby boy.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex posted the news on their Instagram account, letting fans know the new baby weighed in at 7lbs. 3oz.

“We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019,” their wrote on their account. “Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.”

They continued, “The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives.
More details will be shared in the forthcoming days.”

Harry briefly spoke to the media shortly after the arrival of his son. “I haven’t been to many births. This is definitely my first birth,” he laughed. It’s amazing, absolutely incredible. I’m so incredibly proud of my wife. As every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing but this little thing is absolutely to die for. So I’m just over the moon.”

Prince Harry was at his wife’s side along with her mother Doria. The new baby, whose name has yet to be revealed will be seventh in line for the throne.
