A day after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the arrival of their royal baby boy, Prince William and Kate Middleton revealed they are “thrilled” at the arrival of their new nephew.
The new royal baby, seventh in line for the throne, was born on Monday May, 6 at 5:26 a.m. and weighed seven pounds and three ounces. Harry stepped out after the birth to talk to the press about his new son.
“Mother and baby are doing incredibly well,” he said. “It’s been the most amazing experience I could ever imagine. We’re so grateful to all the love and support from everybody out there. It’s been amazing so I just wanted to share this with everyone.”

While his big brother, Prince William and his wife Kate, were at the launch of the King’s Cup Regatta in London, the couple stopped to talk to The Sun about the newest royal.
“We’re obviously thrilled. Absolutely thrilled,” Prince William said. “I’m looking forward to seeing them in the next few days when things quiet down. I’m very pleased and glad to welcome my brother into the sleep deprivation that is parenting. That will be fun to do that.”
And what about any parenting advice for his baby brother? The Duke of Cambridge responded, “Plenty of advice, plenty of advice. But no, I wish him all the best and I hope the next few days they can settle down and enjoy having a newborn in their family and the joys that come with that.”
The Duchess is also thrilled for the couple and took note that it’s the perfect time to have a baby.
“It’s such a special time. With Louis and Charlotte just having had their birthdays, it’s such a great time of year to have a baby. Spring is in the air,” Kate said. “It’s really great. I look forward to meeting him and finding out what his name is going to be. It’s really exciting for both of them. I wish them the best. This next few weeks is always a bit daunting the first time around so we wish them all the best.”
Prince William and Kate are well versed in child rearing. The couple are parents to three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
