Rapper Mac Miller, known for songs “Self Care” and “Ladders,” has died of an apparent overdose, TMZ reports. He was 26.
The website reported that the singer was found Friday at noon at his San Fernando Valley home and a 911 call was placed from his home. Mac was pronounced dead at the scene.
The rapper has been battling substance abuse since 2012, most recently crashing his car into a pole while driving under the influence.
Mac dated Ariana Grande for 2 years, siting his addiction as the cause of the breakup.
Mac’s last post on Instagram was a closeup shot of his hands on his face promoting a current “New York Magazine” piece. He posted the photo on Thursday, the day before his death.
