After being unable to perform last week due to illness, Regan Strange got a second chance to prove she should stay when fans of “The Voice” voted her through to the next round.
That next round came Monday night (Dec. 10), when the Top 8 finalists competed in the live semi-finals. But first, if you’re not familiar with the show, Reagan was on the block for elimination last week, with DeAndre Nico and Dave Fenley. DeAndre and Dave performed to save themselves, as all contestants have to do. However Reagan was sick and couldn’t perform. That’s when coach Adam Levine, who was also DeAndre’s coach, stepped in and asked people to give Reagan a second chance and vote for her to move on, even though she couldn’t perform. While many viewers didn’t like Adam’s plea, the fans listened. At the expense of DeAndre and Dave, who were eliminated, Reagan moved on.

The 14-year-old rebounded from her illness and did not disappoint her coach, Adam. Reagan proved she belonged in that spot on Monday (Dec. 10), performing a stunning rendition of “You are the Reason” by Calum Scott.
Dressed in a white gown with silver sparkling embellishments, Reagan stood front and center and gave it everything she had as she belted out lyrics like, “I’d climb every mountain / And swim every ocean / Just to be with you / And fix what I’ve broken / Oh, ’cause I need you to see /That you are the reason.”
Tune in to “The Voice” Tuesday night (Dec. 11) to see who moves on when it airs on NBC at 7p.m. CT/8 p.m. ET.
