After 31 years of marriage and much public scrutiny, Todd Palin, husband of one-time vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has filed for divorce from his wife.
According to court documents obtained by Anchorage Daily News, Todd cited “incompatibility of temperament between the parties such that they find it impossible to live together as husband and wife,” as the reason for the split.
Todd is requesting joint custody of their youngest child, Trig Palin. The couple’s four other children Piper, Willow, Track and Bristol are all over the age of 18.
Sarah and Todd married in 1988 and share 5 children. Sarah was elected Governor of Alaska in 2006 and served until 2009. She ran for vice president of the United States in the 2008 election alongside John McCain during his Presidential bid, making her the first Republican woman chosen to as a V.P. candidate.
Todd is an oil field production operator and commercial fisherman who worked for BP for over 18 years. The couple recently celebrated 31 years of marriage on August, 29, 2019.
