After Youtuber Tati Westbrook came out against her friend and fellow Youtuber James Charles, causing him to lose 3 million followers in one day, the beauty influencer wants to make amends.

In a post on Twitter, Tati explained

“I have been in contact with James Charles through an intermediary over the last week, and we believe that it is the best interest of our community, our viewers and our own mental health to put this matter to a rest,” she wrote.

She continued, “For that reason, I will not be making any further public comments and I hope and pray that no one else will make anymore hurtful statements on my behalf. In my original video, I felt the need to publicly breakup with James with a warning call loud enough for him to hear. I was attempting to explain my upset and concerns so that everyone would understand my position and end the speculation that it was all over vitamins.

“Over the last eight years, I built my career based on honesty, integrity and trying my best to do what I thought was right. The toxicity and chaos that ensued over the last 10 days was absolutely not my goal, as it was a fight that I was almost certain to lose,” she added. “Although I do not regret raising my concerns, I completely regret the way I went about saying them, I could have and should have found a better way. ”

Tati went on to reveal that she still has thing she wants to clear up and that she hopes the community will go on to hold themselves to a higher standard.

“To my audience, I need you to know that I’m blessed to have your support and love making videos for you guys. I’m truly sorry for all of the hate this brought to our doorstep. I love you and look forward to returning to my regular content soon,” she concluded.

James also shared a tweet calling a truce. “I am on board to move on, will not speak about this further, but do hope to speak in the future when we’re all ready,” he wrote. “This week was awful for all of us and I ask that the community focuses on positivity moving forward.”

Both Tati and James Charles have shared that they will not be releasing new content for now.

The feud started when beauty influencer James Charles, who is good friends with Tati, was at Stagecoach and he did a plug for another company’s vitamin product to his millions of followers. Seems innocent enough right? Well the company he plugged was a direct competitor and rival of Tati, his mentor and friend.

It was then that Tati took to Youtube in a 43-minute long video titled “BYE SISTER” to slam James for the betrayal and call him out for using his celebrity and power to gain personal relationships. That’s when the internet went crazy and 3 million followers like Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande and Kylie Jenner unfollowed James.

But it looks like the influencer world is coming back together as the two former friends want to end the fight. Some fans on Twitter couldn’t help but wonder if this whole fight was staged for the two to make more money from the scandal.

“Just seemed like a HUGE vitamin promo. so how much did you make from all this?,” @iCrazyJa commented.

Guess we’ll never know.
