We’re past the blind auditions for season 14 of “The Voice,” which means things are really starting to heat up. As quickly as contestants came onto the show, they’re gone. Or are they? After Jordyn Simone and Kelsea Johnson battled it out for #TeamAlicia over En Vogue’s “Don’t Let Go (Love),” all four coaches had differing opinions on who should stay and who should go.
Eventually, Alicia Keys chose Kelsea, which led to Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson both going for the steal and the battled that ensued for the singer was likely one of the greatest exchanges to ever happen on “The Voice.”
First, Adam hit his button for the steal, followed by Kelly. Blake Shelton then reminded the world that neither coach turned around for Kelsea during the blind auditions. This was followed by Kelly singing a piece of “Don’t Let Go (Love),” and asking Adam, “Can you sing some En Vogue? Break out some Billy Idol, do it! I’m just saying.”
From there, everything had gone off the rails and Blake busted out Idol’s “White Wedding.”
The comedic timing on everyone’s part was EMMY-worthy.
Of course, earlier Adam said something that Blake didn’t hear and when he asked what he said, Blake quipped, “sounded like he said, ‘white wedding.'”
