Though it seems like this season of “The Voice” has just begun, it’s quickly come to a close as the season 15 winner has been announced and coach Kelly Clarkson is officially the champion with her artist, Chevel Shepherd!
As the finale night wrapped up following some incredible performances, Carson Daly lined up the final four contestants for the big news. First, coach Jennifer Hudson’s Kennedy Holmes was announced in fourth place, followed by coach Blake Shelton’s Kirk Jay in third. That left Blake’s Chris Kroeze and coach Kelly Clarkson’s Chevel Shepherd in the final two, with Shepherd ultimately coming out on top.
Fans will recall that coach Kelly Clarkson took home the win last season (which was also her first season to serve as a coach) with Brynn Cartelli, who is slated to go on the Meaning of Life tour with Kelly in 2019.
While coach Adam Levine had no team representation in the finale, Blake Shelton entered the final four with two team members, Chris Kroeze and Kirk Jay, while Kelly Clarkson brought country queen Chevel Shepherd, and Jennifer Hudson made it to the finale with powerhouse Kennedy Holmes.
Regardless of tonight’s outcome, we know each of these four artists will continue to see success with their newly-found fanbase. As for now, that’s what the folks in showbiz like to call a wrap. “The Voice” is expected to welcome an all-new coach next season with John Legend— and we can’t wait to see how it plays out!
