With each day that goes by, fans of Broadway star Nick Cordero continue to hope that his battle against coronavirus will get a little bit easier.
But in fact, it seems to be getting harder by the day.

In a new interview with CBS This Morning on Thursday (July 2,) Cordero’s supportive wife Amanda Kloots opened up to Gayle King about her husband’s current health.
“(A double lung transplant) is most likely the possibility,” Kloots said. “A 99 percent chance that he would be needing that in order to live the kind of life that I know my husband would want to live.”
It’s a sad reality for Cordero, who has been in the hospital for the past three months battling COVID-19. Thankfully, he has come out of a coma and has now tested negative for the disease.
But his fight is far from over.
“He is doing okay and he’s stable,” added Kloots, who shares son Elvis Eduardo with Cordero. “He can still open his eyes, and when he is alert and awake, he’ll answer commands by looking up or down, yes or no questions. When I’m asking him, he will even try to smile or move his jaw. The nurses have all said that he answers my questions the best.”
Get well, Nick!
