Barbra Streisand’s Carpool Karaoke with James Corden is a Must See

We’ve seen a who’s who of music icons take a ride with James Corden as part of his Carpool Karaoke segment on “Late Night with James Corden.” But when Barbra Streisand got in the car, in the latest installment, the bar was raised.

First of all, Barbra was in the driver’s seat of course. Most of the artists that partake in the show ride shotgun, while James drives. Not Barbra. Barbra is taking the wheel.

Now, if you’re not familiar with Carpool Karaoke, the idea is to have the artists who are riding in the car sing along to their songs on the radio. Leave it to Barbra to not want to turn the radio on.

“Do you mind if we listen to some music,” James said to Barbra. “Is that alright, should we see what’s on the radio?”

To which Barbra replied, “Let me just say this, I just finished making an album and I don’t usually put the radio on to hear music. Do you really have to hear music?”

After a stunned James convinced her to turn it on, off they went. The radio went on and James and Barbra broke into some of Babs’ greatest hits, including “No More Tears (Enough is Enough),” “Don’t Rain on My Parade” and “Memories,” and her current song “Don’t Lie to Me.”

The duo also chatted while driving, hitting topics such as Barbra failing her driving test, calling Steve Jobs when she had a problem with her computer and Tiffany Haddish teaching Barbra about Cardi B.

We can all chalk that up as a great moment in television.
