Bethenny Frankel said goodbye to her on-again, off-again boyfriend Dennis Shields, following his death on Aug. 10.

The “Real Housewives of New York” star was inconsolable at the funeral and is now dealing with the aftermath of his death. Fans have been reaching out and sending their condolences to the “Skinny Girl” founder and she responded with a simple “Thank You,” accompanied by a heart emoji.

Now the reality star has gone further into revealing how she’s coping with the loss. Over the past few days, Bethenny has been opening up about her feelings.

“It’s hard to breathe & I appreciate you giving me the space & support to try to do so,” she wrote on Twitter. “It’s excruciating-sudden death is no closure & constant ?s & memories. Our relationship is current so it’s painfully raw. Trying to stay healthy & move through it w tears & close friends. Xo.”

Struggling to move forward, she sent out a lone Tweet simply saying, “This really sucks…”

But then, the entrepreneur opened up about how she was coping with Shields’ loss. “Doing anything in or by the water is life saving. Beach walks. ocean swims, wakeboarding, clamming, infrared sauna, jacuzzi & my swim really help. When you feel sad, you cry then you just have to force yourself to shift. It’s so hard but it works.”

Shields was found dead of a suspected over dose at his Trump Tower apartment on Friday (Aug. 10). The official cause of death has been listed as “undetermined”. He was 51.
