Bindi Irwin Pays Tribute to her “Crocodile Hunter” Father on the Anniversary of His Death

-

On September 4, 2006, “The Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin was tragically killed during a diving expedition off of his beloved Australia after he was stung by a stingray while filming a television special.

At the time of Irwin’s untimely death, his daughter Bindi was just six years old.

Flash forward twelve years, and Bindi continues to live a life that her dad would be so very proud of, following in his footsteps with her very own conservation efforts. On the 12th anniversary of her father’s death on Sept. 4, Bindi headed to her Instagram page to share a loving tribute to the man she always looked up to.

“Together Forever,” Bindi wrote alongside a picture of her and her family when she was just a little girl. Her mother and Steve’s wife Terri also retweeted the picture and post on her social media pages.

Earlier this year, Steve was honored with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. “He was the best and most incredible conservationist on the planet, but also the best dad,” Steve’s son Robert said at the touching ceremony.

Our hearts and prayers remain with all who continue to mourn the death of the beloved Crocodile Hunter.
