Each week that radio show host Bobby Bones has performed on “Dancing With The Stars,” he has done something to get the fans talking. And this week was no exception.
During the Monday (Oct. 1) episode, Bones was set to complete his foxtrot routine to Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” alongside professional dance partner Sharna Burgess when he proceeded to break out his own “floss” dance.
And yes, Burgess was floored along with some of the judges who seemed to watch in disbelief. For example, judge Bruno Tonioli called him “brilliantly bonkers,” while judge Carrie Ann Inaba confessed that she was thoroughly confused.
“I was feeling it in my heart,” Bones said shortly after the performance. “(Judge) Len (Goodman,) I knew you would love it.”
“It’s not the most elegant foxtrot I’ve ever seen,” Goodman told Bones. “But what I love about you, you come out, and you give it all you’ve got. And you sell it. Well done.”
And while Bones might not be the best dancer on the show, he definitely has everyone’s attention. And heck, he has received 20 points from the judges each week he has competed. But will he get the votes he needs from his fans to live to dance another week?
We have a feeling he might.
“One more dance tonight,” Bones wrote on Instagram on Tuesday (Oct. 2) alongside a picture of him and his dance partner. “But I like this picture from last night. Trying to get that frame right. Still not great, but best I have ever done. Tonight we do a magic trick. And slowly but surely I’m trying to improve that dancing.”
