Exciting news for fans of “The Talk!” Just months after host Julie Chen announced her departure from the show following news of her husband Les Mooves’ inappropriate behavior at CBS, it’s finally been revealed that Carrie Ann Inaba will step in to take Chen’s place.

Carrie Ann Inaba, known for her role as a judge on “Dancing With The Stars,” appeared on the Wednesday, January 2 episode of “The Talk” alongside her now co-hosts Eve, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood.

“The last few months have been really, really tough on all of us,” Osbourne told Inaba during the episode, saying she had “brought us together and we love you for that.”

The news of Inaba’s new role comes weeks after it was revealed that “Dancing With The Stars” will be taking a break, not returning in Spring of 2019.

“Carrie Ann connects with audiences by being genuine,” CBS’s Angelica McDaniel stated of the decision. “We appreciate her warmth, heart and vulnerability, and love what she brings to the show.”

Carrie Ann Inaba announced the exciting news on her own social media, saying, “New Year, New Gig! I am officially a host of The Talk! I’m so excited to join the table with these incredible ladies. I look forward to a wonderful year ahead…Thank you 2019, it’s already turning out to be pretty spectacular!”
