It’s been a rough few weeks for CNN anchor Chris Cuomo.
Not only has the news man been in quite a rough battle with coronavirus, he has been sharing that battle on his CNN show Cuomo Prime Time each and every night. This unsurpassed transparency regarding his condition has allowed viewers to get a first hand look at just what the symptoms of this virus is capable of, including fever, chills and shortness of breath.
But on Monday (April 13,) the pressure of his diagnosis seemed to get the best of Cuomo, as he went on nothing short of an all out tirade on his SiriusXM show about how he is feeling about everything right about now, including his prime time show on CNN.
“I don’t like what I do professionally,” he said, according to the New York Post. “I don’t think it’s worth my time.”
He also talked about a recent run-in he had with someone on Sunday (April 12) who seemed to not be very happy that Cuomo was outside of his home while still battling coronavirus.
“I don’t want some jackass, loser, fat tire biker being able to pull over and get in my space and talk bulls–t to me, I don’t want to hear it,” he said. “That matters to me more than making millions of dollars a year … because I’ve saved my money and I don’t need it anymore. I want to be able to tell you to go to hell, to shut your mouth … I don’t get that doing what I do for a living.”
We think it might be time for Cuomo to take a deep, cleansing breath.
“I have to tolerate people’s opinion about me because I’m a public figure,” Cuomo said. “I don’t want to do that, I don’t think it’s worth it to me.”
