If you’ve been watching Becca Kufrin’s season of “The Bachelorette,” you likely remember the somewhat awkward episode where contestant Colton Underwood revealed to Becca that he’s still a virgin.
As a refresher, this is the same guy that had a brief and confusing relationship with Becca’s friend and former “Bachelor” contestant Tia Booth. After being sent home, it was revealed that he’ll appear on the next season of “Bachelor in Paradise” alongside, you guessed it, Tia, and a handful of his fellow contestants from this season.
Now, he’s saying he has no regrets about how things played out on “The Bachelorette,” including the drama with Tia and his own big reveal.
“I don’t think it’s fully why I went home,” he told People of the situation with Tia. “But it did play into it. That was unfortunate because I thought we all got on the same page at the spa date and that I had the blessing to continue my relationship with Becca. I wasn’t even thinking about Tia.”
As far as revealing his virginity goes, Colton says he’s glad he had the opportunity to share it on national television, despite what most people might think. ”
“I was so happy that I was able to talk about something I never wanted to share with anybody,” says Underwood. “The show allowed me to be true to who I am and it allowed me to grow as a person. I couldn’t be more appreciative of that.”
He went on to say that being a virgin doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy romance. ”
“Being a virgin doesn’t mean you can’t have a good time,” he says. “It doesn’t mean you can’t be passionate and romantic and sexual still in your relationship.”
Luckily, we’ll get the chance to catch up with Colton during “The Bachelorette’s” Men Tell All episode on Monday, July 30.
