Now that The Voice has ended their season with Todd Tilghman winning season 18, it’s safe to announce that a new judge will be hitting the coach chair for season 19. Say goodbye to Nick Jonas and say hello to returning coach Gwen Stefani.
“@gwenstefani is back in that iconic chair,” The Voice shared on Instagram with a photo of all four coaches.
“Cannot wait!! 😍 gx,” added Gwen exclaimed in her own post of the announcement.
Gwen will join boyfriend Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend for the brand new season.
Blake is the only coach who has been on the show since season 1. Gwen, who is familiar with the red chair, appeared as coach on seasons 7, 9, 12 and 17 and a mentor in seasons 8 and 10. Kelly Clarkson joined the show in season 14 and John Legend began his coaching role in season 16.
NBC has yet to reveal how the season will proceed in the fall with the COVID-19 pandemic still in full swing.
