She’s coming back. Hoda Kotb took some time off from her anchor job at the Today show to spend time with her second baby, Hope, following the adoption, but now it’s time for her to return.

Hoda took to Instagram to share the news of her return with fans, revealing her the date she is due back.

“Hi guys! Guess what? It’s time to get my roots done. I’m coming back to work,” she said in a video  posted to Instagram “I’m going to be there on September the third right after Labor Day. You guys, I’m so excited”

But that’s not to say Hoda wasn’t enjoying her time off with her two babies.

“Look, I’m not going to lie: This probably has been the best summer of my entire life with these two kids. I’ve loved every second of it,” she added. “But you know what else I’m going to love? Coming back to you guys. So, I am getting ready. I’m setting my alarm—3:15 a.m. OK? We’ll be back in business. All right? I love you guys. I cannot wait to see you.”

In February 2017, Hoda, who has been in a relationship with New York financier Joel Schiffman,  revealed on the Today Show that she had adopted a baby girl named Haley Joy Kotb. Two years later in April 2019, she called into the Today Show to announce that she had added a second baby girl to her family named Hope Catherine Kotb. “It’s a girl,” Hoda said on the call. “And her name is Hope. First of all she’s laying on the boppy pillow right now and I’m feeding her and I can’t believe it. I’m so happy she’s here.”

The hosts of the show were all in the studio when the mom of two called in to share her good news. After being asked if she ever thought her heart could give more love than it’s already given, Hoda shared the happiness of seeing her heart grow for her new baby.

“You think that you’re full,” Hoda said. “You think that you’re full, that’s exactly how I felt with Hayley and Joel and everything. Joel and I were standing there when they hand you the baby and it’s the closest thing to the live birth that you’ll ever see. In that moment I was like, ‘my God, my heart just grew.’ It’s amazing. I can’t believe it’s happening y’all, I can’t.”
