Honey Boo Boo Made Her “Dancing With The Stars” Debut With a Sassy Salsa

“Dancing With The Stars: Juniors” is in full swing— which means Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson has finally made her big dancing debut.

During the premiere episode, Honey Boo Boo danced the salsa with her pro partner, Tristan Ianiero, after being mentored by adult pro, Artem Chigvinstev.

After watching her rehearsal tape and hearing her own concerns about the dance, I’ll admit I was a little worried on how she’d handle the live performance— but she actually wasn’t half bad. That same signature sass we all used to see during her pageant days came shining through.

As one of the judges put it, she genuinely loves life and that came through in her performance. Her confidence allowed her to “own the room,” and while they asked her to work on her technique, the judges had nothing but good things to say.

Ultimately, the duo earned a 19 out of 30, which isn’t too shabby for night one.
