2020 is turning into a life changing year for Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita, as the two are about to become first time parents!
“Actually, this is something I haven’t even mentioned to anyone, if we could just keep it between the three of us and you all, but I’m actually expecting a baby in July with my husband,” Ferguson said rather matter-of-factly during an interview with talk show host James Corden.
The big news was dropped as Ferguson and fellow Late Late Show guest Charlie Hunnam were talking about getting older.
“It’s when you finally become an adult, I feel,” said Ferguson, who married husband Mikita back in 2013. “Like, ‘I need to start getting serious about things.’ I’m very excited, but it feels like I’m 44 now, let’s get this show going. Tick tock.”
While Ferguson refrained from revealing the sex of the baby, there is no doubt that the beloved actor looks excited for all the things that lie ahead of him this year. However, he did seem a tad more melancholy when he talked about filming the final season of Modern Family.
“It’s incredibly sad,” he said. “It’s been something have done for 11 years.”
